2014 Calving

My favorite time of the year!

Our first arrivals were a set of twins!

Stale

My Dad informed that my Blog was "stale" as I hadn't posted anything since November!  From November to the end of February we were on the road quite a bit cheering on Levi and his team at wrestling tournaments.  The season ended the last weekend in February in Casper, Wyoming.  The State Championships!

Levi placed 4th at 138lbs in the 4A Division at State. It was fun to watch!

We traveled from Evanston to Sheridan, Wyoming...and even found ourselves at the Tournament of Champions in Reno, NV!

Changing Seasons

Snow Angels
After a record dry summer, we received weeks that dumped 8 inches of rain followed by a major winter storm that dropped 10 inches of snow.  Roscoe and Cowboy enjoyed it.

Muleys in the Pasture
Plenty of Does this year.  The big bucks did well taking cover.

Homecoming 2013
Home for the winter. Calves have been sold. Cows are resting up for their return to motherhood come March 2014.

Hootie
The cow "dawgs" treed this fellow the other night.

Hard to believe that this is Levi's Junior Year!

Summertime Snapshots

Spring was hopeful with a few rains but as summer progressed the skies wouldn't open up.

The Yucca was beautiful everywhere this year.  This was taken at Curt Gowdy State Park.

Before Summer got away from us, Lukas, Levi and Mike squeezed in an evening of fishing at Crystal and Granite Reservoirs.

A beautiful Wyoming Summer evening.

Moore, Oklahoma: May 25- June 1,2013

After watching the events of May 20th unfold in Moore,Oklahoma, my friend Stacy and I decided that if it were meant to be, she and I would head to Oklahoma to help in the clean up.  God certainly worked out the details for us! As a result, we landed at Captiol Hill Baptist Church.  It is one of many churches in the area to offer relief supplies, a place to shower and get a meal.

Through out the week, Stacy and I picked up debris, travelled to Little Axe and McLoud to help organize relief supplies(This area was hit with a tornado on May 19.), went to the neighborhoods delivering door to door(or what was once door to door) Buckets Of Love that were filled with relief supplies, and delivered Chick-Fil-A sandwiches to all those who were working overtime to restore electricity and water...and we prayed for the children who are so traumatized.

These are just a "few" of the corporations who are involved in the relief efforts.  Kelloggs dropped off a ton of cereal at the church.  Chick-Fil-A also dropped off hundreds of sandwiches that we delivered to home owners going through the rubble of their belongings.  Tide (Procter and Gamble) was there to do laundry.

Our observation is that Oklahoma is filled with faithful and prayerful people.  It was good to be surrounded by them.

Another observation is that Oklahomans also have a great sense of humor!

When we left, we were completely unaware of the fantastic blessings God had  in store for us...Thank you Terry (Betsy), Hannah, Sarah, and Sam!

Thank you Clarence, Janie, and George (Linda)

And Jerry and Chloe...Stacy and I were prepared to camp out at the church in sleeping bags.  What a blessing to be the recipients of her love and nightly prayers.  God has gifted her with hospitality.
